𧎠Formulas
SGPA (Semester Grade Point Average)
SGPA = ÎŖ(Credits à Grade Points) / ÎŖ(Credits)
SGPA is a weighted average calculated for a single semester. Each subject's grade point is multiplied by its credit hours, and the sum is divided by total credits.
Subject 1: 4 credits, Grade A (8 points) = 32
Subject 2: 3 credits, Grade A+ (9 points) = 27
Subject 3: 3 credits, Grade O (10 points) = 30
SGPA = (32 + 27 + 30) / (4 + 3 + 3) = 8.9
CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average)
CGPA = ÎŖ(SGPA of all semesters) / Number of Semesters
CGPA is the average of all semester SGPAs across your entire academic program.
Semester 1: 8.5
Semester 2: 9.0
Semester 3: 8.7
CGPA = (8.5 + 9.0 + 8.7) / 3 = 8.73
